01 Agreement

These terms cover the Nova Dominion game on novadominion.xyz and in the Android app. By playing you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the game.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to connect a wallet.

These terms are an agreement between you and the Nova Dominion team only. Solana Mobile, Inc. (which runs the Solana dApp Store) and any other app store that distributes the game are not parties to them and have no responsibility for the game, its content, its maintenance or support, or any claim about it.

You may not use the game if you are located in, or ordinarily resident in, a country or region under comprehensive sanctions or an embargo (for example by the United Nations, the European Union, the United Kingdom or the United States), or if you or your wallet are on a sanctions list. We may block access from such places and wallets.

02 The game

Nova Dominion is a multiplayer space strategy game: build a base, raise a fleet, conquer worlds. Practice mode runs offline in your browser, with nothing on chain. Online play needs a Solana wallet and a planet bought with NOVA, the game's token; Command Centers share a daily NOVA reward pool and conquered planets drop their bounty.

03 Test phase on devnet

The game currently runs on Solana devnet, a public test network.

Devnet NOVA is a test token with no monetary value. It comes free from the in-game faucet and cannot be bought from us or exchanged with us for money. The same goes for devnet SOL.
Test-phase balances, planets, rewards and progress may be reset or wiped at any time, with or without notice.
Nothing from the test phase carries over to a future mainnet launch unless we explicitly announce otherwise.

04 Wallets and transactions

You alone control your wallet (Seed Vault, Phantom, Solflare…). We never see your keys and cannot sign for you, recover a lost wallet or reverse a transaction.
Blockchain transactions are final. Check what your wallet asks you to approve; network fees are paid by your wallet.
The devnet test wallet is a throwaway key kept on this device, for testing only. It is gone when the browser or app storage is cleared. Never send real funds to it.

05 Not an investment

NOVA is used to play: to buy planets and as a game reward. Rewards are game mechanics, not income, and are never guaranteed. We make no promise of any value, profit or liquidity, and nothing in the game is financial advice. You are responsible for following the laws and tax rules that apply to you; do not use the game where it is not allowed.

06 Fair play

Do not:

cheat, exploit bugs, or play with bots and automation;
farm referrals or rewards with networks of your own wallets;
attack, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or interfere with other players' access.

Please report bugs instead of using them. If these rules are broken we may reset, suspend or remove the game account and its server-side progress. Tokens already in your wallet stay yours.

07 Names and referral codes

Commander names, planet names and referral codes are visible to other players. Nothing offensive, hateful, sexual, impersonating (staff, the game, Solana or anyone else), misleading or infringing someone else's rights.

Names and codes are checked against a filter when you choose them; the filter cannot catch everything.
Report a name: in an online world, open the other player's planet on the MAP and tap Report offensive name. Every report is reviewed; the reported player is not told who reported them.
We may rename a planet or commander, stop showing a referral code in the game, or suspend or remove the game account of anyone who breaks this rule.

08 A game in development

Rules, balance, prices and rewards may change as the game evolves, and the service may sometimes be unavailable. The game, its smart contract and the blockchains it uses are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied (including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement), by us, by Solana Mobile, Inc. and by any app store that distributes the game. Smart contracts, wallets and networks can fail (bugs, outages, congestion).

To the maximum extent the law allows, neither we nor Solana Mobile, Inc. nor any app store that distributes the game are liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, lost profits, lost tokens or lost data, and Solana Mobile, Inc. and app stores have no liability to you at all in connection with the game. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

09 Ownership

The game — its name, logo, art, 3D models, sounds and code — belongs to its creators. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to play it. Do not copy, resell or redistribute its assets.

10 Changes and contact

We may update these terms (for example when the game moves to mainnet); the date at the top changes, and important changes are announced in the game or on the website. Playing after an update means you accept it. You can stop playing at any time.
